Beara Peninsula

Travelling from the picturesque town of Kenmare we take the coastal road that follows the Wild Atlantic Way. Trip includes:

  • Visit the colourful villages of Eyeries and Allihies along the Beara Peninsula where Ireland’s only cable car connects us to Dursey Island
  • On route to Glengariff we detour to view the dramatic Healy Pass situated between the highest summits in the Caha mountain range.
  • The warming influence of the Gulf stream ensures that Glengarriff has an abundance of rare plants and flowers and is considered a gardeners paradise.
  • Leaving here we take the Caha pass to Kenmare and on to Killarney
